The aim of studying and bibliography

The main aim of study: The aim of education is to transfer knowledge in the field of information technology applications in medical systems, with particular emphasis on information systems used in the acquisition, processing, storage and presentation of medical data using the Internet and local networks.

The general information about the module: The aim of the module is to provide knowledge of selected systems and applications of ICTs in medical systems. In particular, the module will be discussed and characterized protocols, standards, architecture systems used in health care units. We will discuss the stages of computerization, implementation methods and management information system with an emphasis on systems, archiving and image transmission systems, the flow of information concerning the movement of patients, order medical systems, pharmaceutical, radiological, etc. We will discuss the basic architectural elements of infrastructure and possible threats to violations confidentiality of medical data, methods of protecting critical elements of the computer system.
