The aim of studying and bibliography

The main aim of study: The main educational objective of the course is to acquaint students with basic microeconomic categories, provide knowledge within the scope of market mechanism functioning i.e. familiarizing with basic market categories and principles governing basic economic subjects’ behavior (household/enterprise), presenting crucial concepts concerning market production factors.

The general information about the module: During the economics course, the student is to be familiarized with the basic terms in economics, subjects, elements, the functioning of market goods and services as well as production factors and market structures.

Lecture Test form of the exam in the Summer semester after the cycle of Economics I and Economics II lectures. Grading: 0-50% (unsatisfactory), 51-60% (satisfactory), 61-70% (satisfactory +), 71-80% (good), 81-90% (good +), 91-100% (excellent).
Class Requirements to receive a credit for activities: 2 written tests, participation and presence. A system of points has been introduced. Students collect points in the course of the semester fulfilling the requirements mentioned above. A condition to receive a positive credit grade is collection of minimum 50% of points. Detailed information concerning the system of points has been given to students during the first class.
The final grade The final grade is the mark received for Activities during the Summer semester, whereas the final grade for the Economics course is the exam grade covering knowledge within the scope Economics I and Economics II courses.
